Ecocem GGBS is often recommended for underground work because of its chemical characteristics
It is suitable for various types of underground work such as filling underground quarries, grout pavers, deep foundations with moulded walls or drilled piles and tunnel linings.
Concretes with high levels of GGBS possess a highly dense microstructure which gives them excellent transfer properties and a very high resistance to chlorates. At levels of 40% GGBS and above, resistance to sulphates is increased.
Optimal workability and practical duration of use facilitate work at the building site.
It is therefore suitable for long and/or difficult pourings; it is also easier to work with at high temperature and enables long periods of transportation.
